Elegant Solutions to Interesting Problems

Occam\’s Razor applied to technology

Wow, it’s been a while…

I haven’t really been posting here much. I’m not sure if I’m going to start again, but here goes nothing.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking over the last several months about how we use social media. That’s an odd thing coming from a security guy (we’re stereotypically closed mouthed), but there’s a place for openness and communication even in the most tight-lipped security organization.
As a friend of mine recently pointed out (regarding a security & availability issue), a large part of communication is getting ahead of the story. This isn’t about managing “spin,” or some fictional thing like that. I’m talking about the simple fact that if you don’t talk about what’s happening, other people will do it for you. Do you really want that to happen?
So, back to social media we go.

  1. You know, I actually “get” polyamory. Or, I should say that I understand the philosophy behind it. It’s not a failure of comprehension on my part. Click https://zhoutest.wordpress.com/
